Hand-embroidered and tie-dye pleated skirt. Hand-embroidered by women of Palung, in the northern hills of Chiang Mai, Thailand. These flower and plant motifs are part of their traditional embroidery patterns, taking forms from the greenscape and plantations grown around their homes and community.
We translated these traditional patterns onto our tie-dye pieces, where each pieces are tie-dyed by a family based in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. The skirt is coordinately crafted by various communities of makers around Thailand. It sits comfortably for a loose fit on the body.
